Long Island Game Farm teaches kids about animals

The natural environment is rich in learning experiences across all subjects and disciplines. Our classes, camps, and other education programs are designed to encourage people of all ages to explore our natural world and better understand the importance of protecting what we have.

NOW ENROLLING FOR WINTER BREAK CLASSES

  • Music with Miss Jenna - creative play with stuffed animals, music, and dancing

    Zoo Adventures - Instilling a sense of commitment to nature and wildlife begins at a young age. Specialized programs for pre-school children engage children in learning about the animals of Long Island Game Farm with a meet-and-greet, stories, and activities.

  • Winter Wildlife - Learn how animals prepare for winter using adaptations, migration and/or hibernation.

    Sketch the Animals - Practice drawing skills with select residents of Long Island Game Farm.

    Camp Zoo - Summer and winter sessions explore nature through STEAM activities, animal adaptation lessons, animal encounters, and more.

  • Photography and Art Workshops - From intensive workshops providing the skills to create art-quality photographs on your phone to sketch sessions with resident Long Island Game Farm animals, workshops encourage participants to view wildlife through new mediums.
