ART ON THE FARM

ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM

Nature has long served as inspiration for artists. Through the Art on the Farm artist residency program, hosted at Long Island Game Farm each summer, artists can explore their creativity in a number of mediums.

Visual artists are invited to submit proposals to the artist residency program each summer. Proposals may be for permanent or temporary installations, and should reflect and incorporate the game farm’s mission of honoring and educating the public on the natural environment and wildlife. Artwork may be created during July and August during park hours. Resident Artist talks will be scheduled for park guests on Saturdays during residency months, and during the week for arts integrated school student visits and professional development for teaching artists. An opening reception will take place on a Friday to be determined. Non-permanent installations will be removed at the end of the season. Artists selected for residencies will be given a stipend and limited materials reimbursement.

Please note this program does not provide housing.
